It Was A Great Day

I touched the water here. It was so cold and I got so wet as you can guess. But I didn't care as I love water so much. :-) I must look for really beautiful and quiet rivers in which I can swim. Hmm... :-P

We headed back for Toyooka and we had pizza and rasagna at an Italian restaurant. I ate about 6 pieces of pizza and finished off the rasagna. I can't believe how much I ate that evening. But well... I was starving!!! Mum and I didn't need dinner. Oops, she ate something even though she said she was full. Hahaha.

It was a nice trip as we hadn't had one for ages. :-) Now we plan to go to another waterfall. Hahah, we love waterfalls. Addiction, isn't it?

There were two levels here. I mean the upper waterfall and the lower one. There was a fence around the upper one, but we totally ignored it just I did when I went to see one with Laura. LOL Mum did that, too. Hahaha. :-D We are soooooo bad, eh. Without doing that, we weren't able to take good photos. This is an excuse.

Another thumb-up

It took us about 15 or 20 mins as we stopped to take photos. The sounds of water got closer as we were getting closer to it. As the sounds became bigger, our expectation rose as well. :-) And our efforts were paid off. The view was amazing. The water falling down so hard that I hardly could hear mum. She was saying something, but sorry, mum, I couldn't hear you at all. But I nodded. Hahaha. ;-P We walked behind the falling water. When I looked up, I could see the sky through water drops. If it'd been sunny, I could've seen rainbows, I bet. :-) Maybe someday.

I stepped forward to touch the water, but the rock was so slippy... kinda slimy as well, so I didn't risk anything. I just stepped forward and gave mum a thumb-up. You can see that in the photo above. ;-)

We saw a signboard saying "Watch Out!! Mamushi(poisonous snake) are here!!" when we were walking along the path, and then, on the way back to the car, we spotted a tiny one... It was kinda scary, but it was tiny... But still it's poisonous, you know. So we tried not to give it any pressure and left the very spot.

We walked quite a lot. Mum said her legs were dead. LOL Mine were okay. I was just hungry. :-P

Trip To Waterfalls

Mum and I went to see two waterfalls called "Yoshitaki" and "Saruo-Daki" on Wednesday. The first one is preserved in the natural condition. I mean the nature is just it should be. There's only a path to the waterfall. It's really muddy that my jeans and shoes were covered with mud. :-P The rocks are covered with moss, leaves are kinda red already. It was so peaceful to walk there even though it was tough.

The trip from home to the waterfalls was quite long. We got a car navigation system and attached it to the car. In first 30 mins, it didn't work as I didn't connect cables properly. When I figured it out, we were already in Toyooka, the city 25 mins away from home and finished re-filling gas. lol The system tried to choose big, wide road all the time. However, we chose narrow shortcuts!!! So the system kept ringing like "You're on the wrong way. Return +++ metres, plaese". We ignored until we settled on the agreement. It was just before turning the last corner to the first waterfall.

After the corner, we kept going straight and spotted the terraced rice fields called "Tanada". The view was just amazing. We didn't expect we'd be able to spot them in such a place, so it was a real nice surprise. :-) They're in the middle of mountains, so in the winter, no one can get there because of the HEAVY snow. So we were lucky. ;-)
