Am I a jerk?

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to obedience and warmth.
In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.
You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.
Your risk of cheating is 100%. You are not suited for a monogamous relationship.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

Look at the results!!! I admit most of them are quite close, but I don't flirt. Man, it's sounds like that I'm a jerk or something.

Ultimate Frisbee is...(click here)

I played "Ultimate Frisbee" for the first time today. It was 100% fun. Fay gave me a lift to "Hidaka", 50mins away from Takeno. We met up at the station then went past Toyooka city. There were 6 others at the ground. 2 of them are from the country of long white clouds, NEW ZEALAND. Wicked!! They might've surprised to see me in the All Black jersey. However, Mel was wearing a ABs cap, so soon I realized he's from NZ. LOL

First of all, we practiced in pairs. My partner was Fay. At first, I felt it was difficult to throw a disc from the side. However, as time went by, I felt like I was getting used to the feeling. It didn't take me long to know how my fingers touch a disc, how to release it. I got a knack of it petty soon. Fay was shouting at me, "How can you do that?" When she threw sideways, I had to be ready to get the disc before it's rolling off far away. LOL All I had to learn is how much force I need to aim at my partner. And another important thing is the wind effect. If you throw a disc high, it definitely catches winds and it's blown.

Then we played a 4 vs4 game. I was with New Zealanders Luke, Mel and Wakako(she's not a Kiwi, okay? Just for your reference). Luke's good at offensive role and Mel's got really good deffensive skills. Luke got a few touch downs. Mel cut opponents' passes over and over again. Oh, I got a few touch downs as well. Guess what? I was running around the field like a crazy. LOL I didn't notice that I'd passed an end line. The field was so tiny. Ha ha ha. I gave Luke a nice passes. I'm gonna be a fantasista soon. ;-p

What I'm afraid the most at the moment is that I might get sore muscles on my thighs. It's so dull now. Maybe I won't be aboe to walk like I do. LOL Hope I will manage to sit down, stand up, etc. I've got to get fit as soon as possible before the tournament on the 9th and 10th of July. Okay, another training session next Monday. It'll be real fun. :-D Okay, it's time to go to bed. I'll sleep like a log. Zzzzzzzzz.......

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This is the book I'm reading at the moment. Thank you very much, Clarice. I really like the book you got and sent to me. That' really kind of you to have done that. I'll send you something Japanese in return. Something you love. Give me a hint, please. ;-p I have no clues. Ha ha ha. You know I'm hopeless at choosing presents.

Although I just began to read it, it already draws my curiosity. The book is a real magic. I was into it last night like I was bewitched. Actually I was. But, in a meantime, I fell asleep. LOL Oh well, I was tired from the work. I had to work overtime as the restaurant had kinda emergency... They didn't have enough staff despite the fact that Sundays are always busy. I can't remember how many tables I was in charge, how many side dishes I made... Anyway, the book is amazing. Fabulous. For those who haven't read this book yet, I'll tell ya a bit about it. Only a bit cos' I haven't read so much yet.

Okay, here's a boy named "Charlie" as you can imagine he's the main charactor in this story. He's not rich, well, rather poor. His father works for a toothpaste factory. His mother doesn't have work. In addition, he's got 2 pairs of grandparents. His maternal and paternal ones. As I said, they are not rich, so they can't afford so much in food, furniture. For Charlie, a chocolate bar is like a treasure, cos' he only gets one in a year for his birthday. That's an only chocolate he eats even he longs for. His grandpa's story about Mr. Wonka's chocolate factory makes his interest rise. The Wonka's chocolate factory has been closed(not clesed actually. it's been operated, but no one's seen any workers there) for ages. However, there was an astonishing article on the front page of the paper. It says "WONKA FACTORY TO BE OPENED AT LAST TO LUCKY FEW". Only five children are allowed to go in his factory. But to go in, they need a golden ticket. Only five tickets are in thousands or millions of chocolate bars. How could Charlie get one? Only the rich can spend their fortune to get the tickets. The first one was found by a fat spoiled boy. The second one was found by also a spolied girl. Damn it!!! I do hope Charlie can get one. I know he can though. Hee hee.

Okay, back to the book. Ciao amici.

This Weekend...

It was a really hot weekend. Crazy. Yesterday, it was 37.2C(the hottest in Japan) and today, it was about 36C(maybe the hottest, too). While I was driving, I sweated like crazy. LOL Even though the air conditioner was on, the heat was way stronger. Oh, you know what? The restaurant was too hot to bear. I think the air conditioner was not strong enough... Or was anything wrong with me? LOL I worked 8 hours yesterday, and 6 hours today Not as bad as last weekend. I'd worked nealry 20 hours last weekend. Man, I'm gonna be an iron man. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I have days off. Phew, I can chill out wee bit. Maybe I'll go swimming to the sea. :-) At the evening, I'll play ultimate Frisbee with Fay and her friends. It'll be fun. Hope it's not bloody hot.

Where's the rainy season? Has it gone yet? Well, we haven't got rain yet. Only Okinawa has. We need it badly. Otherwise, everyone's gonna dry up... Seriously. :-( I don't know what's happning to Japan, but this weather is weird. I hate this heat. It drains my energy every minute, every second. Oh well, summer hasn't started yet. I'll see what happens then. I hope I lose weight. LOL

Something New Zealand...

From time to time, there's a moment I miss New Zealand so much... To be honest, I miss NZ everyday. :-( Maybe some of you feel that way as well. Not only me, right? So, today, I'll put some photos which fill holes in your heart. Mostly to fill mine though. Oh well, let's get it started.

One of my favorite T-shirts I have. Go muncher!!! Now you know how much I'm addicted to the big cookie.

It's really hot here. It must be really cold in New Zealand now. When I was there last year, I was shivering. Oh, no. It wasn't so bad. However, around Queen's Birthday, I got a cold which lasted for days. How many tissues I wasted for that? LOL On the holiday, I went to Akaroa with my classmates; Veronica, Junko, Yoshimi and Diego. That day, the weather was crap!!! It couldn't have been worse... On the other hand, it was fine in CHC. We should've stayed in the city. Ha ha ha.

On the 28th, I met a really nice person on the bus. I'll tell you that later.

Canterbury Secured the Shield

Yes, Canterbury secured the shield against Marlborough, but Merhtens is leaving for England... It's sad for red and black fans, isn't it? For me, too. He's the first rugby player I met and had taken photo with. Oh, CCEL printed news letters which has the photo of me and Merhtens. I really liked it, but I look fat in that photo... :-p

An article from The Press

Changing the subject, what are you reading at the moment? I'm reading these two books.
  • Girl With A Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier
  • Everything's Eventual by Stephen King

And what I have now are these...

  • The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
  • Different Seasons featuring Shashank Redemption by Stephen King
  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl (Thanks Clarice. I've been looking for it!!!)

I'll add Harry Potter soon, I think. Am I a bit bookish? LOL If you know some interesting books, please let me know. I like every genre, I think. Let's see.

The word I wanted to tell you is...

I've just found the word I wanted to tell you, but it's not exactly words, but anyway... The word is from Japanese culture. It's called "ichigo ichie" which means "Treasure every meeting, for it will never recur". I think the word indicates miracles which happened to us. If neither of us had been in NZ, we would never meet. Like if you are walking down the street and just passed me, we'd be just strangers. Considering that, how precious meeting sometime, somewhere. Cos' no one knows what happens next.

Okay, it's a good time to go to bed. Night night. I'll dream about Cookie Time... yum yum.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005

Hi there. It's my first post here. I've been wondering if I should have another journal. I mean I already have "Live Journal". But anyway, this one might be easier to get accessed. So I hope it's alright. I'll update as often as I can. Wish me luck. :-)

Well, more than 2 months have already gone by since I came back to Japan. I had a great time in New Zealand from May 2004 to April 2005. I'll never forget I was there. I don't know if I achieved goals I'd set, but my friends definitely enriched my life there. Without them, I'd have left for Japan earlier. I should've said "Thank you" to them at the beginning. However, words can't describe everything. I'd like to see and hug you, guys!!!

Lots of meeting, saying goodbyes...that's how life goes, doesn't it? The reason why I chose New Zealand was just like a coincidence. I got to know a real nice teacher "Nicola" at uni who's from CHC, New Zealand. If I hadn't met her, I'd have been to Australia and tamed(or fought with) kangaloos over there. I ended up taming sheep in NZ though... Kidding!!! LOL Okay, back to the right track... If I hadn't met her, I would never meet my friends in NZ and those who are from all over the world. There's a real nice word in Japanese, but can't remember it in English. I'll post it later.

I'll put a few words as the gratitude to you... I couldn't be happier when I was in NZ cos' I got to know you and everyday was different. You, all of the people I got to know, are the piece of my memory of NZ and you will always remain in me. I do wanna thank all of you, but it takes AGES, literally. Therefore, I just put letters "THANK YOU" here. Keep in touch, guys. Or I'll harass you. Oops, kidding again.

At last, I'll show you the sunset in my hometown "Takeno".
