Two Days in Osaka with Emma
On the 13th and 14th, I saw Emma in Osaka. The best time since I came back to Japan. It's been three months since I left NZ, since I said bye to her. My family say it's "STILL" three months, but it was really long for me. Time goes by so slowly for me. Like I've done tha same thing everyday, like nothing's changed at all. I flew from "Tajima Airport" to "Itami Airport". It took me only thirty minutes, but I was so impatient that I felt as though it had been an hour flight!!! LOLNo sooner I arrived at Itami, Emma and I spotted each other straight away. :-) When she came into my view, I was really happy. I couldn't believe who I was seeing. Words can't describe my feelings. Even though I hugged her, I still didn't think it was real. She hasn't changed at all. She was the Emma whom I knew in NZ. We were headed for the central Osaka. Well, we kinda got lost but we bumped into Emma's tour guide to Nagoya, so we asked him how to get Namba. Man, it was easy. Ha ha ha. By the time we got to Namba, we were starving, so the first thing we did there was looking for an Italian restaurant since we were bored with Japanese food. LOL The restaurant we found was really nice. The lunch was 1.200yen. You get bread(you can eat as many as you want to), salad, two small dishes out of mashroom saute/chiken something/tomato thing, then tomato soup, pasta, dessert(chocolate cake and citrus icecream). Oh, we had free drink after lunch. Guess what? A glass of wine was only 150yen. We had one each. It was easy to drink. :-)After lunch, we walked around and had a look at some shops such as a 100yen shop. Hee hee. Emma got some souvenirs there. We took "Puri-kura"(Print Club) which was real fun. I'll keep them in my diary. We shopped around Namba area. The area is really cool. We didn't have any fixed plans, so our excursion was like "Oh, that shop looks nice, go in" one. Ha ha. Emma got a pair of cute sandals. They do suit her. :-) I also got a pair of "VANS" shoes. Emma helped me choose ones. It's so fun to go shopping with her. I think I havent done that in NZ. Shame, eh? After that, we found a cool "Osaka Omiyage" shop. Man, it's full of "Takoyaki" and "Kan]sai-ben" stuff. Okay, some photos are here.
We walked quite alot. Guess what? We walked one station without noticing. LOL It was the end of the first day(13th). I was supposed to take lots of photos with her, but we talked a lot instead. It was much more fun than stopping and taking photos. I wanted to fill the time I haven't seen her, I haven't hear her voice. That may sound stupid, but that's what I felt. I wanted to see her smile than seeing her through a camera. After I said "see ya" to her, I was headed for Nara to stay over at my aunty's place. Oh, I forgot to say... It was a really hot day!!! OMG, I couldn't sleep well. It was the first time for me to turn the airconditioner on while I was asleep. :-( When I woke up the next day(14th), I felt my throat was so sore. Aww, not good...On the 14th, we met up at 10am again. Again, we spotted each other straight away. Emma said that she'd been sick, so I was anxious, but she said she was okay. I hope she said the truth. My anxiety was swept away by her smile. As it was the same one I saw the other day, I felt relieved. :-) We decided to go to karaoke and we sang heaps of songs together and ran out of our voices. LOL We sanf almost all the BSB's songs. Emma sang Celine Dion's songs which were so beautiful that I was deeply touched... To be honest, I was welling up a bit. No bluff. Seriously. Those songs were really really beautiful. :-) I was so glad that she still remembered my favorite songs such as "Livin' On A Prayer". That song always reminds me of "Grumpy Mall" when we went out to dance for the first time. One song can bring back lots of memories to me. ;-) We drunk heaps of soft drinks, ate chips etc... I was so stuffed. LOL I took some photos at karaoke, so I'll put them here...
Time passed so fast in the last two days. When I had to say bye to her, I was so sad. I felt like as though the two days of fun was swept away by the waves of facts that I can't see her, her smile again for a while, I'd go back to my hometown again, I wouldn't be able to see her off... I don't know how many times I smiled in two days. That's because she put smiles upon my face over and over again. I really had a great time thanks to her. I'd like to say thank you to her. She made my day. :-D Lots of thanks to her... The meeting with her made me wanna go to NZ more and more. I'll go there definitely. This is my life and what I wanna do at the moment...well, at least for a while. You know, I had a great time in NZ, so I'll go back. "I'll be back", a quote from "Terminator".Emma, I dunno when you read this post or if you read, but I hope you'll have a great time in Japan and I wanna let you know that I'm glad I saw you in Japan. You can come to my hometown whenever you want to. Don't forget that you're always welcome. Everyone's waiting for you. :-) Again, thank you for giving me a great time. I'll never forget it.
The Haka
I dunno, but I feel like writing down the Haka, the All Blacks' pride here.Ka mate! Ka mate!Ka ora! Ka ora!Ka mate! Ka mate!Ka ora! Ka ora!Tenei te tangata puhuruhuruNana i tiki mai iWhakawhiti te raHaupane!Kaupane!Haupane!Kapaune!Whiti te RA!
Ultimate Frisbee
It's a photo of my team "The Tajnators". We played very well, but didn't grasp a little bit of luck. That's life though... They're really cool people. I hope I have another opportunity to play with them. :-) I'm in a German soccer uniform which I borrowed from Mel. LOL
Okay, this huge building is "Tajima Dome". Well, we played on the grass outside, but anyway, I just wanna show it to you.
I took this photo at BBQ party after the first day. We ate, drunk, danced and Karaoke. Man, it was a great fun. I didn't drink alcohol at all cos' I had to drive home. Well, honestly, I had only one glass of "Peach Chuhai". That's all, seriously. I drove after a few hours, so alcohol had gone completely. ;-)I found out that I lost 3.5kgs after 2 day ultimate frisbee. I didn't feel it, but it actually was tough. Hmm, maybe I was ready for a long distance run. :-) I didn't have sore muscles at all. It's a miracle. Thank God!!! I just feel my thighs are wee bit tired. If I continue exercising, I'll be fit soon. Hee hee. My ideal weight is 55 or 56kg. I have to lose pretty much. LOL My present weight is *!"?><\. Ooops, what's happened? LOL
Exercise Ball!!!
This is my new buddy. He's so soft and bouncy. Well, he smells like rubber though. Doesn't matter. He helps me keep fit, cos' I'm putting on weight... My buddy, we'll get along well, eh? I should name you... Hmm, I wanna get you something cool such as Stievie the TV... Do you have any idea?? I'm so stuck. I exercised with this big ball. It's pretty difficult to keep balance on the ball, but soon I got a knack of it. It's quite a nice move to do push-ups and such using the ball. I like it.My friends who's been to NZ said they gained weight there and lost weight in Japan. For me, however, it's completely opposite!!! Oh well, I put on some weight in NZ, but I did exercises, walked alot around Hagley Park almost everyday, so I was able to keep fit. On the other hand, here in Japan, I drive a lot, so... That's why I'm putting on weight. :-( I must do exercise. To begin with, ultimate frisbee would be cool. It's fun and...FUN!!! LOLI was caught in a shower... That made me think I'm followed by the rain clouds, stlongly. It's not a joke at all. Like in a cartoon, a fleet of rain clouds are above me wherever I go. LOL Don't come close to me!!! You'll get wet. Hee hee. So, what's up, everybody?
Got a ticket to Osaka
Today I bought a flight ticket to Osaka. It was supposed to cost me 10.500yen, but as I'm a citizen of Toyooka city, I got a huge discount. The ticket was 4.500 yen!!! Cool. I'm going there on the 13th to see my precious friend from New Zealand. I think it's the best thing happnes to me since I came back to Japan. When I see her, she might remind me of all the days I spent there. I might cry!!! LOL Hope not... I'll keep the dream ticket on my bedside table. ;-) Oh, mum, don't touch it!!! LOL Night night... Zzzz....
Rain...4 days in a row.
Hi, these are photos from our garden. I have no idea how to garden though... It's still interesting to see what kind of flowers there are. It's raining again. Four days in a row. The Frisbee training will be cancelled. It sucks!!!
Okay, it's a small watermelon tree. It's got a few fruits. My grandma's bringing it up. Hey, I don't like watermelons... It smells like a cucumber. LOL
It's a morning glory. I found two flowers. It looks like one, but actually there're two. Look at them with 100% concentraiton. Then you can see two.
Well, I have no idea what it's called. I thought it'd be interesting, so well, it's on here. LOL Don't ask me what it's called. If you know, please tell me. Cheers. ;-)
Rain, rain, rain...
We're in the rainy season. Finally. It's been raining since the beginning of July. It's okay, but really annoying. Can't play beach soccer and ultimate frisbee!!! There's another training session on Monday, but it seems like that it'll be cancelled because of the rain. Okay, here's a funny fact. When I go out, when I drive, etc, it always rains!!! I do think rain clouds follow me. Seriously. :-( They keep following me like stalkers. The work was...hectic. What the heck was that? I worked hours again in two days. On Saturday, I worked from 10am to 10pm. Not exactly 12 hours, but nearly 12 hours. I was supposed to finish working at 9pm and also to have a 30 min break, but I didn't have it, either. So I worked straight 5 hours from 5pm to 10pm. I was exactly like a zombie limping around. LOL I was half dead and half...dead?? On the way back home, I was half asleep while I was driving. Ha ha ha, just kidding. :-p Oh, I'll tell you what. I didn't have anything from 1pm to 11pm!!! I was starving. I could've eaten a horse. Instead of a horse, I ate "Yaki-tori" at home. Yum yum. But it was around at 11pm, so I might've got fat. After that, I watched "Wimbledon"(how can I spell it?) tennins on Stievie, the TV. I know "Davenport" was winning, but who won? I fell asleep in the middle.Today I worked from 10am to 3pm. It wasn't bad. The restaurant was so crowded that we were flying from here to there. The peak was so busy. Although we had customers constantly, the time was like a hell... Imagine you are being talked by a few people at the same time. And that times 3 or 4 is how occupied I was. LOL The new shift table is just a failure, I think. The manager is stupid. That doesn't work at all. Man, he's such an i+++t!!!I have days off. I'll have a frisbee training if the sun shines through the clouds. I wanna play it badly!!! I need more practice before the tournament on the 9th and 10th. Man, I played it only once!!! Oh, I'll write a letter or 2. I got a letter from you, Josie!!! It did surprise me. Cheers. ;-) I have heaps of things to do. Read "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator", do the translation which is quite tricky, and...exercises.
Ultimate Frisbee must be...
It's July tomorow. Time goes by so quick. I feel as if I've been in Japan for ages even though only a few months. Hmm, I wanna escape the heat right now. :-( It's killing me. The sunshine's alright. But the humidity is the killer. Fay said the same thing. On the way back home, it suddenly rained like mad. LOL No sooner I shut the car door, it began to rain cats and dogs. It lasted for 10 mins. Thank God, I'd already been in my car before that happened. Otherwise, I would've got soaking wet.Today I took a look at one of the websites about ultimate frisbee. The field is bigger and wider than I expected. And the duration of a game is longer!!! OMG, I'll be exhausted after one game... Oh, does anybody know how to do the "Forehand"(or Flick)? I can do that, but dunno how to give it more speed and make the distance. I gotta learn them by the tournament. LOL I wanna get heaps of touch downs there. I'm good at catching a disc, well, as good as a dog. Hee hee. No kidding. You know what? Frisbee is the landmark of a product. Ultimate Frisbee players call frisbee "a disc". Oh well, it's a trivia. Ha ha ha.It's time to read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and fall asleep... Night night. Zzzzzzzzz.......
